Popular hip-pop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has replied those shading him for endorsing the candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Gboyega Oyetola, in the upcoming Osun State gubernatorial election and for supporting the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

The singer has faced a lot of backlash on social media after taking to his Instagram page to canvas for votes for the APC candidate in the Osun election.

Portable was also chastised for posting another video on Wednesday, July 13, where he equally urged Nigerians to vote for Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.

Setting the record straight, in a new video posted on Wednesday, Portable fired back at his distractions, insisting he did nothing wrong and was only making ends meet, as he was only doing his job after getting paid by APC to support its candidates.

The ‘Zazuu’ crooner went on to justify his action by stating that he was once paid to insult Tinubu during the ENDSARs protest and he did, he, therefore,  does not see the difference in what he is doing now and what he did then because he got paid on both occasions and rendered his services.

He said in Yoruba, “If they pay you money, you have to work. I was once paid to insult Tinubu during the protests. That was a long time ago. Now, APC has said Akoi Tinubu.

“If they pay you, do your job, no ripping. When I was asked to insult Tinubu, I collected my money and did my job. Now Tinubu is the next. They’re the ones that gave me money, and I must do the work for the money I collected. Akoi APC,”
