Poor Performance: Heartland FC place players on sack notice

Heartland FC of Owerri has formally served four players the necessary one month termination notice on their contracts citing poor performances.

 

The ‘Naze Millionaires’ who are currently having a poor run in the league also placed all the remaining players on notice for an impending review of their contract terms especially, salaries in line with their output by mid-season.

 

The termination notice which was signed by the club’s General Coordinator, Oscar Keke stated that the affected players failed to improve their games despite repeated opportunities given to them to do so by the technical crew which has compelled the club to employ other players to perform the same duties for which they were contracted.

 

“Accordingly, we are compelled to invoke Article 18.2 of your contract of employment and hereby give you notice that your contract will be terminated one month from the date of this memo,” the letter stated.

 

Heartland FC spokesman, Cajetan Nkwopara who confirmed the development added that the management team led by Prince Okechukwu Ibe has already directed the technical crew to quickly conduct a performance evaluation on the remaining players and provide it with the result for further necessary action.
