Police unmask mastermind of Ekiti bank robbery

The mastermind of the Ekiti bank robbery has been unmasked by the Police Command in Ekiti state. He is Omotoyinbo Samuel.

The police say he led the gang of ten that robbed the Wema bank branch in Ifelodun local government area of Ekiti State.

The Police spokesman in Ekiti State, Sunday Abutu,  said investigations so far showed that Omotoyinbo Samuel was the ring leader of the bank robbery.

The police said he is a notorious armed robber and kidnapper who has been involved in many murder incidents in Ekiti and Ondo States.

“His real name is Omotoyinbo Samuel, but popularly called Eleven in Ekiti State and BADO in Ondo State.

“He is an indigene of Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti State where the recent bank robbery incident took place.

“The Command implored any person with useful information that could lead to his arrest to please contact the nearest Police Station or the SARS Department on 07031620186 or the PPRO on 09064050086,” the statement added.

The armed robbers stormed the Wema bank branch in Ifelodun local government last Friday in a commando style around 3:55 pm, just five minutes away from closing the bank’s door against customers.
