The suspects, he said, invaded the police station to rescue their member, one Prince Ayibalaifa, who was detained for assault.

Another exploit by the command, he said, was an unlawful possession of tricycles.

He said on August 13, 2017, at about 1240 hours, SARS Operatives acted on a tip-off and arrested one Umar Isah ‘m’ 27 years and one Hamisu Isah ‘m’ 36 years with two tricycles with registration number HKY 890 QA and KMR 394 WL at Giftson Filling station, Yenizue Gene, Yenagoa.

On the murder of Onyinye, the Glo employee, Amba said that the suspect, Stephen Ogho-Oghene Akpata, was arrested in Badagri after fleeing to Ghana.

He said that the command gathered that before the murder, Akpata was wooing Onyinye for marriage, without her knowing his record as an ex-convict.

Amba narrated: “On August 16, 2017 at about 2400hrs, one Moses Awo, a staff of Glo Network reported at Ekeki Police Division that their staff one Onyinye Faustina Eze,33 years old did not come work as expected. He added that himself and one other staff went to her house located behind Fido Water Company, Kpansia and the apartment was locked but the television in the room was on and sounding loudly.

“A team of policemen went to her house and forced the door open and found her lying dead in a pool of blood.

“The room was scattered and the deceased was lying facing ground in a pool of blood. The following exhibits were recovered at the scene of crime; a three quarter knicker, a pair of canvas, one damaged pressing iron, one jean jacket, one pen knife, one pink color singlet, a Nokia handset and a damaged wristwatch.

“The entire exhibits were stained with blood. “One Uche Clara Ada, the deceased elder sister, suspected one Stephen Ogho- Oghene Akpata ‘ m ‘ 40 years old ,an intending husband to the deceased Onyinye Faustina Eze.

On the killing of a baby boy, Amba said that Otimba of Ogbogoro community, Yenagoa was arrested on August 15, 2017.

He said that Otimba impregnated one Joy Matthew ‘f’ 18 years, younger sister to his wife, Gloria Otimba, ‘f’ 20 years.

According to him, when Joy delivered the baby, Otimba collected it from her and sniffed the baby to dead and buried him  in a shallow grave along the river shore.

“Joy later confessed to her mother about the incident on July 15, 2017 and they were arrested by the police.

“The scene of the crime visited and the current of the river had washed off the body,” he said.

The suspect, Otimba, he said, has confessed to the crime and Joy Mathew also confessed of her alleged involvement in the murder of the baby.

Investigation, according to him, is ongoing.

On Isah, he said that the suspect allegedly used to kill, roast and sell vultures to members of the public for consumption.

But he pointed out that Isah confessed that he was killing and taking dead vultures to Kano for sale and medical purposes and not for human consumption. The suspect, he said, claimed he was a member of Kano State Zoological Society and presented a certificate purportedly from the Kano State Zoological office.

“It is our firm believe that security is every body’s business and the police cannot succeed alone. We urge members of the public to support us in our community policing project and to actively engage in policing their environment.
