The spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, has once again explained why the security agency kicked against the use of the viral slogan, ‘no gree for anybody’, which gained prominence in 2024.
Although how the slogan started cannot be traced, Nigerians particularly youths have adopted it as motivation to succeed in the new year.
However, Adejobi during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, expressed reservation for the slogan and cautioned against its usage.
After the warning made the rounds on social media, netizens vehemently opposed police counsel and continued to spread the slogan, insisting that no one can stop them.

Revisiting the matter via a tweet on his official X handle on Thursday night, Adejobi said that the “Police are in the best position to advise and educate Nigerians on possible early warning signs of an impending danger as a civil and people-oriented institution”.
The police spokesperson once again warned that the slogan should not be used to attack security operatives while discharging their duties.
“Do not take the 2024 slogan for granted. Do not abuse the slogan and capitalise on it to be attacking security operatives while discharging their duties.
“Be reasonable with the slogan, sue for, and embrace peace anywhere you find yourself, even at home. It is well with our dear country,” he further tweeted.
