In a viral clip on the internet, Mkhwanazi, a lieutenant-general, explained how the suspects were arrested and the roles each of them played in the rapper’s death.

He further clarified that AKA was the intended target of the assailants and that Tibz was just a victim of circumstances.

Mkhwanazi said: “It was clear that AKA was monitored from the airport and Tibz was not the intended target in the murder on Florida Road in Durban.

“We know they were paid for this.”
