Although President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he would not yield to citizens demand for the scrapping of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Nigerians are however still on the street insisting that the outfit must be scrapped. #
On social media, #EndSARS has remain a top trend, attracting global solidarity in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and United Arab Emirate.
In Abuja, the convener of Revolution Now, Omoyele Sowore, an activist, Aisha Yesufu and other Nigerians were among the large protesters campaigning for the end of SARS. They marched to Police headquarters for a sit out.
In Ogun, the crowd of protesters was massive as the marchers are seeing with placards saying: “Phone no be crime. Laptop no be crime. Dreadlocks no be crime.”
In Lagos, the protest was huge with celebrities coming out to give moral support to the protest.
In Ogbomosho, Oyo State, the protest led to the shooting of a protester by the police.
The Anambra Protesters were also in large number making their voices heard.
