Nigerian singer and music producer,  Phillip Kayode Moses, popularly known as Pheelz, has reacted to Chelsea’s decision to use his hit song ‘Finesse’ to announce their latest signing, Moises Caicedo.

The Premier League giants on Monday, completed the signing of the Ecuadorian from Brighton, eclipsing Arsenal’s deal for Declan Rice, as the new British record for a deal between two English clubs.

Chelsea, after completing the deal, took to their official Twitter handle to share a video of the 21-year-old midfielder and his mother having a beautiful moment with ‘Finesse’ by Pheelz featuring BNXN playing in the background.

Reacting to the now-viral video via his Twitter handle, Pheelz said he was elated that the West London outfit rated his song.

He tweeted: “Not @ChelseaFC using my song to announce the most expensive signing in the EPL right now! Burst my head.”

Prior to this development, Chelsea’s London rivals, Arsenal had announced the signing of Declan Rice from West Ham United for a club-record fee of £105m with Odumodublvck’s hit song.

The track by the popular Nigerian rapper titled ‘Declan Rice’ has been one of the top songs in the world since it was released in March 2023.

The deal for the England international eclipsed the £72m Arsenal paid for Ivorian striker, Nicolas Pepe, from Lille in 2019 and became the record transfer fee between two British teams.

It was just short of the British record transfer fee with Chelsea paying £106.8m for midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in January.

However, with the completion of the  £115m deal for Caicedo, Chelsea are now the record holder for the most expensive transfer between British clubs.
