Nigerian Afrobeats singer and one of P-Square music group, Peter Okoye also known as Mr P has threatened to sue Access and Polaris banks for allowing fraudsters to impersonate him.

The singer, who has been running a lottery programme under his name, cried out last year that internet fraudsters have been using his name to scam people.

However, taking to his official Twitter handle ( now X) on Wednesday, Okoye once again frowned at the development and wondered how the two banks failed to detect that some fraudulent elements were opening accounts in his name.

The ‘Beautiful Onyinye’ crooner also claimed the suspects were already on a scamming spree after successfully opening accounts with his name.

He went on to share pictures of the two financial institutions and threatened to sue them for damages.

He also promised to call out more banks in the future, while also alerting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Speaking via his social media page, Peter Okoye tweeted: “Enough is enough. It’s either an inside job or otherwise. I have a name to protect here and save some of these innocent victims. So get ready for me and my legal team.

“How can @polarisbankltd and @myaccessbank allow someone to open an account in the name of “PETER OKOYE PSQUARE” without valid means of identification, no BVN, no biometrics, no verified address or even utility bill to correspond with the address of the account owner.

“Now they are using my name to scam innocent people! I am suing these Banks for damages and calling them out! One after the other! @officialefcc take note! Enough is enough! Calling out more banks!”
