Popular Nigerian Singer, Peter Okoye of Psquare musical group has chastised popular Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti for the derogatory remark he made about Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Seun Kuti during a recent interview on “TheMicOnPodcast”, referred to Peter Obi as an “Opportunist” and argued  that it takes the effort of dedicated citizens to save Nigeria.

In the chat, the son of legendary Afrobeats singer, Fela Kuti also said even though he has a relationship with the African Congress Party’s Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, he does not believe he can solve the problems of the country, as only Nigerians can save themselves.

He went on to claim that even if the AAC presidential candidate decided to rescue the country, he can not function efficiently in a country with PDP and APC controlled states.

He pressed on saying Peter Obi’s movement to a socialist party, Labour Party, after losing out at the Peoples Democratic Party’s primary was an opportunistic move.

He also described Peter Obi as an internet president whose election starts and ends on social media.

Reacting to the young Kuti’s statement on the LP presidential candidate on social media, Peter Okoye asserted the singer has erased his father’s history with his comment.

He wrote: “Dude just erased his father’s history. You said only the people of Nigeria can save Nigeria. Are PO and the rest candidates not Nigerian people? Shame! Shame! Shame!!!”

Peter Okoye, as expected was not the only one who slammed the singer, other “Obidients” who were equally irritated by his statement took to Peter’s comment section to chastise Seun Kuti.
