A Nigerian lady based in the nation’s capital Abuja, identified as Josephine has ended her relationship with her boyfriend after he declined her plea to support her favourite presidential candidate, Peter Obi in the 2023 general elections.
Peter Obi was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a presidential aspirant under the main opposition party before joining Labour Party(LP).
Josephine, who claimed to be a staunch supporter of the former Anambra State governor said she has now abandoned her relationship.
The lady who referred to her now ex-boyfriend as a “dummy”, asserted she cannot be in a relationship with someone who is unable to distinguish good from bad.

She further said she had to end the relationship after he refused to see the light and identify with her preferred presidential candidate, Obi.
She wrote, “So I ended my relationship today because my boyfriend has refused to support @PeterObi, I can’t be dating a dummy,” she tweeted
The online community later joined in on the conversation, while some who are mainly supporters of Obi said she did the right thing, others lambasted her for what they described as ‘despotic tendencies’.
They added that her boyfriend was lucky to be out of such a relationship because she showed intolerance and self-centeredness.
