Peseiro urges Enyimba to go for broke against Wydad as Finidi assures his team won’t be intimidated

Peseiro charged Enyimba to go for a win  via a post on his X handle while wishing them the best in the encounter

Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has encouraged Nigerian club, Enyimba
to go for broke ahead of their African Football League quarter-final clash against Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club.

He gave the advice in a post on his social media page while wishing Enyimba the best in the encounter.

The People’s Elephant are among the eight clubs selected to take part in the inaugural edition of the competition.

They will entertain the Red Devils at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday (today).

The reverse fixture is billed for Casablanca on Wednesday, October 25.

Speaking via his X handle, Peseiro tweeted: “Wishing all the best to Enyimba as they make their debut in the African Football League tomorrow. Good luck to all the players and staff!”

Meanwhile, Enyimba’s head coach, George Finidi has said there is no pressure on his side even though Morocco’s Wydad Athletic are the favourite in the game.

Adil Ramzi’s side won the CAF Champions League title two years ago and were runners-up last season.

Despite this, Finidi assured Nigerians that his players would give their best against the North Africans.

Speaking via Enyimba’s official website. Finidi said “There is no pressure on us. We would do our best to make Nigeria and West Africa proud,”
