Peseiro confirms Algeria wants him to take charge of ‘Desert Foxes’

Peseiro, however, added that following the completion of 2023 AFCON, “I will first rest and my agent will take care of it.”

Portuguese coach, Jose Peseiro has confirmed innuendos that he received an offer from the Algeria Football Federation to take charge of the country’s senior male football team.

The 63-year-old tactician made this known recently during an interview with El Hayat TV.

Peseiro’s current contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ended after the completion of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and he  reportedly attracted interest from Algerian FA.

Speaking on the development during the chat, Peseiro affirmed that the Algerian Federation approached him. 

He, however, added that following his exploit with the Super Eagles at the just concluded AFCON, he will first take a rest and leave his agent to take careofthe offer.

He said: “I received a lot of offers after the African Cup final.

” I received an offer from the FAF but I will first rest and my agent will take care of it.”
