Nollywood actor and Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ex-housemate, Pere Egbi has revealed that he is single despite rumours of his romantic entanglement with fellow reality star, Mercy, whom they became close at the twilight of the last edition of the TV show.

Speaking during a recent interview with actress, Chinasa Anukam, the former US military trainee said he hasn’t been on a romantic date for a long time and that he is only interested in “smash and dash”

He went on to reveal his ideal woman, saying she must be “beautiful and drop-jaw gorgeous.”

He said: “I am very single, like a slice of an American cheese. I can’t remember the last time I was on a date. I don’t do dates. I do smash and dash [laughs].

“But when it comes to dating, I like my woman beautiful, drop-jaw gorgeous.”

Meanwhile, another BBNaija reality star, Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, simply known as Doyin, has said she can never be a full-time housewife if she gets married.

According to her, she cannot be a “housewife” because her spouse can “change” and stop catering for her and her kids.

Speaking via a video message shared on her Instastory, Doyin said men respect a financially independent wife more than an ordinary housewife.

She said: “I will never be a full-time housewife. Number one, people change. What if he [my future husband] changes? What if he meets another girl and then he stops catering for me and my kids?

“Number two, there’s this level of respect that comes with having your own money like when your partner knows you can provide. You don’t need to ask them for everything. You can handle certain things in the house. And I would really like to have that respect in my marriage.

“And third, there are certain things that are out of our control. What if he dies? God forbid. We don’t pray for that but what if he dies? How am I going to sustain myself and my kids? So, sustainability is a very big thing for me. At least, I would have a business.”
