Pep Guardiola’s daughter, Maria, has described her father as the best manager in football history, following Manchester City’s recent success in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The English Premier League (EPL) champions on Saturday defeated Fluminense 4-0 to clinch the Club World Cup for the first time in their history.
Guardiola with the latest trophy has now won five trophies in 2023 for Manchester City.

Prior to lifting the UEFA Super Cup, the Citizens completed a Treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League last season.
Sharing two pictures alongside a picture of Pep, after the Club World Cup success on her Instagram story, Maria wrote: “Best to ever do it.”
This is not the first time Maria will be labelling his father as the greatest coach in world football.
In June, the model described Pep Guardiola as ‘the greatest’ after guiding Manchester City to their first Champions League title.
Taking to her Instagram page to react to the historic triumph after witnessing her father nick his second treble of his legendary career as a football manager, she wrote: “the absolute greatest”.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are currently 5th on the EPL log table but they have a game at hand after missing the weekend encounter due to their Club World Cup commitment.
However, on Wednesday, they will travel to Goodison Park to face Everton in an encounter in which a win could take them to the 4th position and 3 points behind league leaders, Arsenal.
Guardiola is aiming to win the EPL for the 4th consecutive time, a record that is yet to be attained in the league.
