Some people prevents military from launching full attack on Boko Haram —Clark

Ijaw leader and elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark has said that the war against the insurgents in the North-east lasted till this moment because some people have been preventing the military from launching full attack against the Boko Haram.

He said President Goodluck Jonathan had recorded huge victory against the insurgents after the military launched a full scale attack.

Receiving some groups at his residence in Abuja, Clark said the opposition never knew that the war against insurgents could be won.

“Today 30 communities in the hand of the rebels have been taken back. Jonathan is a war general. No one else could have done what he did few days ago. He visited Baga, Moguno and other places to express his support to the military who are fighting internal war.

“The war is not a conventional war. The opposition thought he won’t get the lost zones back. People had been preventing the army to fight insurgents before. There were saboteurs. But now, their game plan is over”, Clark stated.

He said the president is thinking so much about the youths, having created great opportunities for their education.

“He created 125 almajiri schools for children who wear tattered dress, beg for food and their people think they are superior more than them. Today those almaljiris have a future but their people are not satisfied because they want them to be begging around. For someone to come from one of the minority areas and do what their people could not do for 38 years, then who says he should not be re-eleceted?”

Some of the groups that paid him a visit are National PDP Professionals, National Coalition for Jonathan/Sambo 2015, Relate International Prayer Group, Northern missionary forum and One God One Nation Peoples Initiative.
