Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu has said that he does not read social media messages anymore because of the insults hurled at him.

The former governor of Lagos State and former federal lawmaker said in a viral video that the reason he does not read messages from social media anymore is because he is always insulted on the platform.

Tinubu added that he gets high blood pressure when he reads such messages, and thus had to stop reading them.

“I don’t read social media anymore, they abuse the hell out of me, if I read it, I get high blood pressure, I get angry, I don’t read it,” said Tinubu.

The presidential candidate added that sometimes his children or workers tell him what people are saying on social media.

Tinubu has a lot of critics on social media especially among young people.

A video of Tinubu speaking recently in Owerri, Imo State capital during a town hall meeting his campaign organised with the private sector has added to the ridicule he has been subjected to on social media.

At the meeting, Tinubu appeared incoherent in his speech at some point but his spokesman Festus Keyamo said he was referring to the gibberish names which his opponents call their public engagements.
