Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has drummed support for the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu (PDP Delta), who called on the Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government to sack the Communications Minister, Dr. Isa Pantami, for sympathising with the nation’s terrorists groups.

It also vilified the APC House Leadership for “protecting terrorism apologist.”

In its tweet, @OfficialPDPNig, at the weekend, the main opposition party stated that the motion by the minority leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu (PDP Delta), demanding the minister’s resignation or sack was timely.

It further stated: “Anybody seeking to frustrate the import of the motion does not have the interest, security and wellbeing of the nation at heart.”

The PDP therefore urged President Buhari to reassure the nation by heeding the voice of Nigerians, as contained in the statement by the minority leader, and relieve Pantami

 of his position.

According to the party, Pantami’s continued stay in office poses a grave threat to the national security
