PDP expels national vice chairman, Ali Odefa

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has expelled Ali Odefa, the National Vice Chairman (South East), over alleged anti-party activities.
Odefa was initially suspended by the Ward Executives on September 11, 2024.
The suspension was upheld by the Federal High Court in Abakaliki on November 29, 2024, in Suit No: FHC/AI/CS/182/2024.
Announcing the expulsion, the Acting Chairman of PDP Oguduokwor Ward, Onyeka Ovuta, stated that the decision followed the recommendations of the party’s disciplinary committee and was aimed at maintaining party discipline.

Ovuta explained, “The expulsion of Chief Ali Odefa followed the report, findings, and recommendations of the Ward Disciplinary Committee of the party, which is in line with the provisions of the party constitution.”
The chairman further stated that by virtue of his suspension and now expulsion Odefa ceases to be a member of the PDP.
In a formal declaration, Ovuta added, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oguduokwor Ward, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, hereby announces the expulsion of Chief Ali Odefa, the suspended National Vice Chairman of the PDP, South East Zone, from the party with immediate effect.”
