Hajia Aisha Buhari, wife of the President, has appealed to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) not to renege on the party’s campaign promise of paying N5,000 monthly stipend to 25 million unemployed, poor Nigerians and giving school children one free meal a day.
Hajia Aisha made the appeal after senators from the party voted against a Senate motion calling on the Presidency to pay the N5,000 allowance.
Ms Adebisi Olumide Ajayi, Special Adviser (Media) to the Wife of the President, in a statement on Tuesday said Mrs Buhari assured Nigerians that APC is a party of integrity and had promised during the campaign that it would pay monthly stipend to 25 million most vulnerable citizens.
