Patrick Doyle says Yemi Alade deserves national honour after performing at AFCON

Patrick Doyle also described the singer as Nigeria’s most significant cultural ambassador

Veteran Nollywood actor and broadcaster, Patrick Doyle, has praised popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade after her performance at the opening ceremony of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’ivore on Saturday.

The thespian eulogised the artiste while reacting to her colorful stage performance on his social media page on Tuesday, saying she deserved a national honour.

In a series of posts on his Instagram page, Doyle described Alade as Nigeria’s most significant cultural ambassador and noted that she deserves the honour for promoting our culture

Sharing the clip of her performance on his page, Patrick Doyle wrote; “Behold, Nigeria’s most valuable cultural ambassador. Yemi Alade is nothing short of a national treasure, she deserves a national honour.”

Several media outlets reported that Yemi Alade on Saturday, entertained guests at the opening ceremony of the AFCON tournament in Abidjan with a brilliant performance.

She then became the cheer leader of the Super Eagles when they took on Equatorial Guinea in their first group game on Sunday.
