Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has been advised by a pastor, to pay tithe from the N200 million he is planning to use for charitable purposes.

Davido recently requested that his friends, fans, and family send a million naira each into his account on his birthday. He later pledged to donate the proceeds of the crowdfunding to orphanage homes.

A Pastor, who was identified on his social media platform as Goodheart Val Aloysius,  has now handed a warning to Davido on his Facebook page.

The Pastor said the popular musician will miss heaven if he does not pay 10 percent of the two hundred million naira donated to him by his friends, fans, and family as tithe.

Aloysius in a post on his Facebook account wrote:

“Brother Davido if you don’t pay tithe from that money given to you by your friends, I am afraid you won’t make heaven.”

Reactions have trailed the pastor’s post as few Nigerians agreed with him and urged Davido to listen to the man of God.

Most of those who commented, however,  chastised the pastor for not seeing charity work as spreading of God’s love, they urged Davido to ignore him and spend the money as planned.
