Steve Parish, chairman of Crystal Palace football club, has condemned the decision of VAR on two incidents during the Premier League encounter between his side and London rivals, Chelsea at Selhurst Park Stadium on Saturday.
Parish took aim at VAR after Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho, got away with numerous infringements during the derby.
After the game, he posted on Twitter, “Jorginho literally broke the world record of amount of fouls committed before getting a yellow.
“Honestly what is the point of #var we chop and change every week, it does what it thinks.”

He also took a dig at VAR after Thiago Silva avoided a red card during the clash, when he deliberately handled the ball, while Jordan Ayew was through on goal.
Parish added, “#Var must surely think that’s a red but not a ‘clear’ error! Even if it’s not a #dogso [denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity] which it is.”
“He [Silva] handballs it twice deliberately, one we play on so two yellows! #cpfc #epl.”
Chelsea went on to win the derby against Crystal Palace 2-1, with Tiago Silva providing the assist for one of the goals.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Conor Gallagher scored for Chelsea to give the Blues the victory against Patrick Vieira’s side.
