Pantami remains a moral burden on Buhari’s government, says Buba Galadima

A former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engineer Buba Galadima, has described the continuous stay in office of the Communications and Digital Economy Minister, Isa Ali Pantami, as a moral burden on the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In an interview on Arise Television, Galadima said clerics like Pantami have always thrived by playing to the gallery, but shy away from facing their own music.

“Pantami has already admitted to his crimes. So, there is no need for an investigation. He has apologized. Whether the apology is good enough to exonerate him from those crimes, I do not know. But he played to the gallery as a preacher. Now, he has to face the music. ” he said.

Galadima said Pantami and his kind do not represent Islam. He said even the sect Pantami belongs to in the Salafiya branch of Islam, is the minority, just about 20 per cent, while the Darica makes up the 80 per cent.
