PANDEF says Obi endorsement cast in stone

Endorsement of Peter Obi for President is sacrosanct, the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has reiterated a few hours to the vote that will decide whether Nigeria remains in the woods of self-degradation or come out and shine in democracy..
PANDEF National Publicity Secretary Ken Robinson made the point in a statement issued in Abuja, which latched back to the backing PANDEF National Leader Edwin Clark gave the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in January, affirmed on 2 February by the Southern and Middle Belt Leaders Forum (SMBLF).
“The attention of PANDEF has been drawn to certain gibberish in the media, regarding the forum’s endorsement of Obi, credited to a purported Youth Wing of the forum.
“PANDEF urges the public to disregard the reported rejection of Obi’s endorsement by the so-called youths,” the statement said.
“It is borne out of infantile musings. In the first place, PANDEF does not have ‘wings’.
“The forum maintains a consolidated framework at the national, state and local government levels.

Focus on Obi’s victory
“For the avoidance of doubt, PANDEF stands by the endorsement of Obi by our national leader, Clark, and the affirmation by SMBLF, the statement adds, per Vanguard reporting.
“Without equivocation, PANDEF’s endorsement of Obi is sacrosanct.
“PANDEF will not be distracted by the misdemeanor but would instead intensify efforts to ensure Obi’s victory in the Niger Delta region.
“The forum cautions youths in the region not to succumb to the antics of greedy politicians and shun all acts of violence before, during, and after the forthcoming elections.”
Obi Campaign gets 50 vehicles from Adamawa anonymous donor
An anonymous donor in Adamawa on Tuesday gave 50 vehicles, mostly jeeps, to the LP Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC) to enable Obi win the North East in his run for Nigeria’s seat of power in Abuja.
Yusuf Jabatawa, a representative of the donor, explained during the presentation in Yola the vehicles are a personal gesture of the donor to ease movement for the Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed ticket.
“I’m here to represent my boss who doesn’t want the public to know who he is. This is a personal gesture by him, donating 50 vehicles for use at the party.
“He has taken it upon himself to take care of the logistics need of the campaign in the state,” Jabatawa said.
Obi represents hope for Nigeria
Jabatawa urged the electorate to vote for all LP candidates in the presidential and National Assembly elections on 25 February and governorship and state Assembly ballot on 11 March because Obi is the hope of greatness for Nigeria.
“The donor believes that the Obi-Datti ticket is what will take us out of the despicable situation that we find ourselves in. Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed represent hope for Nigeria,” he stressed.
State LP PCC Coordinator Caleb Fili said the donor’s decision to support the Campaign is a decision to support Nigeria because Obi is Nigeria’s hope.
“Peter Obi is the person with the capacity, competence and compassion to lead. I urge Nigerians to rekindle the hope that we have by coming out on Saturday to vote for him,” Fili pitched.
