Miss Nigeria 2015 pageant recently held at Oriental Hotel, Lagos and was won by Cross River’s representative, Pamela Leesi.

She was crowned by the outgoing Miss Nigeria, Ezinne Akudo.

The judges were top designers Mai Atafo, Lanre Da Silva, Audu Maikori, Helen Prest Ajayi, Ruth Isume, Isoken Ogimwoniyi, Chima Ude, and Jumoke Adenowo.

Leesi went home with N5 million, a brand new SUV, six months’ skill acquisition programme in any institution of choice, a year serviced apartment, an all expense paid trip, and more.

Miss Nigeria beauty pageant, now in its 39th edition, was founded and first organised by Daily Times in 1957.

The winner of the maiden edition, Grace Oyelude, who was an employee of the United African Company (UAC) then and is now 82 years old, was present at this year’s event.

She was presented with a brand new Peugeot 601 car by Heritage Bank.

Other personalities at the occasion included Segun Osoba, Yemi Ogunbiyi, Onukaba Adinoyi-Ojo, and Innocent Oparadike, all of whom were former Managing Directors of Daily Times.

They also included Senator Daisy Danjuma and Anambra State Deputy Governor, Nkem Okeke.
