Oyo court remands skit maker, Trinity Guy in prison

Trinity Guy was charged with two-count charges of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation of a 10-year-old girl

A Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, in the Oyo State capital has remanded skit maker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, aka Trinity Guy, in Agodi correctional facility over alleged sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old girl.

On Friday, June 23, Oyo State Police Command in a statement said Trinity  Guy and the parents of the 10-year-old were quizzed and that they would appear in court Monday 26 June 2023, after the minor appeared in one of the online videos posted by the popular skit maker.  

Appearing before the Magistrate P.O Adetuyibi, counsel to the defendant, Oludare Adebayo urged the court to grant his client bail but his plea was denied.

Adetuyibi while denying the bail application, said the allegation against the skit maker is currently receiving the attention of the state Ministry of Justice.

The court also remanded Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29, who are parents of the victim on two-count charges of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation. 

He thereafter adjourned the case till July 11.

Meanwhile, TheNiche had earlier reported that the Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi advocated the arrest of the popular skit maker, following a trending video of his dangerous pranks.
