Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen has frowned at a social media post shared on Tuesday by his club, Napoli and has threatened to sue the club.

The Serie A champions posted a TikTok video that appeared to have mocked Osimhen after he missed a penalty during their 0-0 draw with Bologna last weekend.

The rare miss from the Nigerian who has scored three goals already in his first five appearances this season proved to be the defining moment of the encounter.

After the clip made the rounds on social media it elicited a serious backlash from fans of the club and other football lovers, this in turn prompted Napoli to pull down the video.

However, despite the removal of the clip, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has hinted that the Super Eagles striker is considering legal action against his club.

Speaking on the incident, Calenda said: “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.

“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor”.
