Arsenal has turned their attention to Napoli and Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen after missing out on signing Fiorentina’s striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
Mikel Arteta has been keen on recruiting a new striker this January transfer window with forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out of favour at The Emirates.
The North London club’s former captain has not played for the club in their last 10 games, his last match being their 2-1 defeat to Everton at the Goodison Park last year.

The clubs’ situation is further compounded by the refusal of their French striker Alexandre Lacasette to commit his future to the club even though he has just a year left on his contract.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Arsenal are willing to splash the cash in their pursuit of Osimhen, although Napoli wants £58m for the Nigerian international.
Before Juventus agreed to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina, Arsenal were said to be willing to pay the hefty £62m asking price for the Serbian.
The Gunners are currently 6th on the Premier League table on 36 points behind London rival West Ham United in 5th and on 37 points. The Harmers have however played two more games than Arsenal.
