Super Eagles boss, Jose Peseiro now has a full complement of the 23-players invited for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against West African neighbours, Sierra Leone on Sunday, June 18.

This follows the arrival of Fenerbahce of Turkey defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel, who joined his colleagues at their Eko Hotel and Suites base on Wednesday morning.

His arrival was announced earlier today via the Super Eagles’ official Twitter handle.

“Camp don full…and the day is Bright! Update: 23 players in camp,” reads the tweet.

Osayi-Samuel could not join the rest of the team as expected due to a crucial club engagement.

The 24-year-old was in action for Fenerbahce, who defeated Istanbul Basaksehir 2-0 to win the Turkish Cup on Sunday night.

The versatile defender consequently missed the Super Eagles’ first two training sessions on Monday and Tuesday, but will begin training with the team today.

The former Queens Park Rangers player is expected to be part of Wednesday’s training session at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

The Super Eagles currently top Group A of the AFCON qualifier with 9 points from 4 games, while their opponent Sierra Leone are third on the log with 5 points from the same number of games.

The other teams in the group are Guinea Bissau who are second with 7 points and Sao Tome and Principe who are rock bottom with just a point.
