The Onido of Ido, Oba Gbolagade Babalola, has conferred chieftaincy titles on the Accord Party’s senatorial candidate for Oyo South, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and his wife, Abisola.
The ceremony was held on Monday in the Ido area of Ibadan.
The chieftaincy title was in addition to the three others that Kola-Daisi received in Ibarapa land in the last 10 months.
Kola-Daisi and wife, who is the daughter of the late former governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, were installed as Otun Bobajiro of Ido and Yeye Otun Bobajiro of Ido respectively.
The senatorial candidate told reporters after the ceremony that the new chieftaincy title conferred on him was “a great honour and privilege which can only spur me to do more for humanity”.
He restated his unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and excellent representation at the upper chamber of the National Assembly if elected.
Kola-Daisi, however, called on the people of Oyo State to vote for Accord Party’s candidates in the 2023 general elections.

He assured them of all the party’s candidates’ determination to turn around the fortunes of the state positively.
“The people of this town will see the benefit of democracy by the special Grace of Almighty Allah.
“I will use the opportunity I have to showcase the two towns with my connections in the private sector, both at home and abroad.
“The title now will push the responsibility in me to make sure that people come to this town and further development here. We want to bring industries here for job creation.
“We want to make sure they have everything that they needed. We will make sure we bring people who can invest in this town, in agriculture and many others, so that lives of our people can be better,” Kola-Daisi said.
Earlier, the traditional ruler said that the chieftaincy title was befitting of Kola-Daisi’s intentions for community development and true empowerment of the people.
