#OndoDecides: Alade Congratulates Akeredolu on re-election

The Convener of  Democratic Network for Aketi, Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade, has felicitated with Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on his re-election in the just concluded governorship election.

Independent National Electoral Commission ((INEC) had declared Akeredolu the winner of the October 10 gubernatorial election 

Akeredolu of the  All Progressives Congress (APC)  scored 292,830 votes while Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 195,780 votes and the incumbent Deputy Governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi, who ran on the platform of Zenith Labour Party, came third with 69,127 votes.

Alade in a statement in Akure, the state capital, congratulated the governor, describing his re-election as a well-deserved victory.

Addressing Akeredolu, Alade said, “For those of us who have keenly followed your giant strides in the state, your victory did not come as a surprise.

“The election shows that people’s power remains the most potent force in any democracy.

“Your Excellency, the victory represents a bold and emphatic testimony to the good work you have done in the past four years which makes it a well deserved one. And it will go a long way in consolidating on the good work you have done.”
