Barely hours to the commencement of the primary election of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, four aspirants have stepped down from the Primary and pitched their tent in support of the incumbent governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu.
They said their withdrawal and support for Akeredolu is hinged on the interest of the party in the state after due consultations
The aspirants are Chief Segun Abraham, Engineer Ifeoluwa Oyedele, Jimi Odimayo and Nath Adojutelegan.
Oyedele while addressing newsmen promised to work together with Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu during the primary election for his success at the Guber poll.
According to him, he is not under any influence before his decision, encouraged other aspirants to work together not to only reunite the party but to also ensure victory in the Governorship race
Governor Akeredolu commended Oyedele and others for the selfless interest which he believed would remain indelible in the state’s political history.
