The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Election Campaign Organization has alleged that it has uncovered some sharp practices being perpetrated by officials of INEC in collaboration with agents of the All Progressives Congress APC in various Voters Card Collection Centres across the State.

According to the party, the details of voters are being collected, and in some places, prospective voters are being made to thumbprint before cards are released to owners. They said it is very criminal and targeted at compromising the election.

This is contained In a press statement issued on Friday by the Special Assistant (Media) to Hon. Agboola Ajayi, PDP Governorship Candidate, Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi.

He stated “Just yesterday, we got a disturbing information from the African Church Primary School in Akure about how some APC boys who paraded themselves as INEC officials were collecting voter information, including VIN numbers, addresses, and phone numbers of unsuspecting voters, under the guise of registration.

“This latest devilish act from the APC members has informed us of something, and it is that they are desperate to rig the election.

“We however wish to assure them that their criminal designs will end in futility as we have given our agents adequate education on how to frustrate every chicanery on election day, therefore we are warning INEC to ensure that the BVAS machine must have zero accreditation at the beginning of election on November 16th.

“We again warn that no one must pursue insidious agenda to compromise election here as there will be consequences for so doing.

“As peace-loving people, we are urging members of the People’s Democratic Party as well as the people of Ondo State to remain vigilant by monitoring the collection of voters cards in the state.

“We are assuring our teaming supporters that we will do everything to prevent the plans of the APC to manipulate the November 16 governorship election in Ondo state”, he added
