NUJ described the late Evangelist Grace Akeredolu as a loving, dutiful and prayerful mother, who was loved by her children and family members

The Ondo State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has sent its condolences to the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over the demise of his mother.
Evangelist Grace Akeredolu, aged 90, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday morning, according to the chief press secretary (CPS) to the governor, Richard Olatunde.
“The mother of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu is dead.
“She died peacefully in her sleep early this morning. Mama was 90 years.” Olatunde said.

Reacting to the news through a press statement co-signed by the Chairman of the union, Prince Leke Adegbite and the Secretary, Olaoluwa Meshack, NUJ Ondo State urged the Governor to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a fulfilled life.
The union also described the late Evangelist Grace Akeredolu as a loving, dutiful and prayerful mother, who was loved by the governor, his siblings and other family members.
The statement further asserted the late evangelist came, saw and conquered, and left worthy children and grandchildren behind, therefore, her exit, though painful, should be celebrated.
The union prayed for the repose of her soul and asked God to grant the Governor and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss.
