Ondo govt makes Indigenous Oodua Anthem as the official state song

The Ondo State Executive Council on Thursday approved the adoption of an Indigenous Oodua anthem which projects the tradition and culture of the Yoruba tribe.

The state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu ,SAN, who made the announcement at the commencement of the state executive council meeting said the anthem will henceforth be sung immediately after the National Anthem at official and public functions.

The Yoruba Anthem was rendered by the cultural troope of the state ministry of Culture and Tourism and sang by all members of the state executive council.

The lyrics of the Oodua Anthem goes thus;

Igbagbo wa ni pe Bati beru la bomo Ka sise
