Ondo 2020: Dapo Adelegan emerges ADC governorship candidate

Mr Dapo Adelegan  has emerged as the  candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the Ondo State governorship election  scheduled  for October 10.

Adelegan emerged  as the candidate after four other aspirants  stepped down for him and supported by  the voice votes of all  the 77 delegates across the 18 local government areas of the state.

Addressing the party faithful in Akure, the chairman of the election committee,  Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman, and the national coordinator, Chief Anayo Arinze, said they were optimistic  that the party and its candidate  have all it takes  to win the October 10 governorship  election.

 “We are sure that he will as well deliver  the dividends of democracy to the people  of  the state in line with the party’s Manifesto and Ideology, ” they noted

Responding, Adelegan who hails from Owo, the Northern Senatorial District of the state  promised to address  problems of water supply,  decay in  education, health , power and transport sectors.

He further  promised to introduce  student loan scheme, create  Jobs opportunities, set up industries in Ore and other parts of the state. 

He assured the people that he will  use his wealth of experience to revamp  the economy. 

The ADC governorship candidate  is expected  to slug it out with 17 other candidates of other political parties participating in the Ondo governorship  election  scheduled  for October 10.
