Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu has said human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu is bitter over the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

He made this known on Wednesday in a post he shared on his X page, where he also described the Edo State-born social media influencer as a “toxic” person.

According to him, Yesufu is still “bitter” because Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, whom she supported during the 2023 general election came third.

Onanuga’s comment came after the political activist mocked President Tinubu for being overlooked by the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa during his inauguration speech.

In a video which made the rounds after the event, Ramaphosa seemingly ignored Tinubu while greeting other leaders in a straight line.

Commenting on the trending video, Yesufu wrote: “My people say Pikin wey no hear word for house na for outside dem go disgrace am! Tinubu disgraced once again in South Africa.”

However, while reacting to her comment, Onanuga described Yesufu and her followers as uncouth and pessimists.

He also noted that the popular influencer and other Obi’s followers are more toxic than supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who came second in the 2023 presidential election.

“Aisha and her uncouth horde of pessimists are always quick to rush to judgment with any whiff of what appears to them to be negative to the leader of Africa’s biggest democracy.

“More than a year after the 2023 election, in which their candidate came third, they remain incurably bitter and toxic, more than the supporters of the man who came second,” Onanuga tweeted.
