Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai, was pictured at his snake farm inspecting a massive python at a time no less than 333 schoolboys of the Government Science Secondary School (GSSS) Katsina were abducted.

Buratai owns a snake farm in Keffi, Nasarawa State where he breeds different species of snakes.

The picture of a smiling Buratai inspecting his snake farm and posing with a massive python, has angered some Nigerians who only recently flayed President Muhammadu Buhari for refusing to visit the school of the abduction, but instead chose to inspect his cattle in his ranch.

Boko Haram released a video of the abducted schoolboys who were pleading for the government to comply with the demands of the terrorists which include; close all secular schools, withdraw the military, cease aircraft patrol and disband local vigilantes.

Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s former social media aide, Reno Omokri, said Buratai was only following the footsteps of his boss, the president who himself is holidaying in Katsina but has not visited the school six days after the dastardly act.

“Buratai is begging to be sacked. How can Boko Haram abduct 333 #KankaraStudents, and rather than relocate to Katsina, a smiling Buratai relocated to his snake farm to take photos with snakes. And Gen #Buhari, who should fire him, is celebrating his birthday!” Omokri said.

A former chairman of the National Human Rights commission (NHRC), Professor Chidi Odinkalu, also said: “The kids who keep calling #Nigeria a zoo get a lot of encouragement & evidence from both the C-In-C & the COAS of @HQNigerianArmy, who choose to play the part of zoo-keepers in time of existential national crisis. Sadly.”
