Deputy Senate President and flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ongoing governorship election, Ovie Omo-Agege, has cast his vote at polling Unit 19, Orogun ward 2, Orhomuru, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.
Omo-Agege, who expressed confidence in winning the governorship election, however, said that he was informed that thugs allegedly working for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were disrupting election processes in his strongholds.
All the frontrunners in the Delta governorship race are from Delta Central, a senatorial district where Omo-Agege appears to have the ace.

Ex-Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, is also from the Delta Central Senatorial District. Omo-Agege defeated the PDP in Delta Central in 2015 and 2019 respectively despite the district being the stronghold of Ibori.
For Omo-Agege, his biggest opponent for the governorship of Delta State, is Sheriff Oborevwori, candidate of the PDP.
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Great Ogboru and the Labour Party candidate, Pela Kennedy, are not major contenders.
