Omeruo missed Super Eagles’ 1-0 win in the first friendly against Ghana due to a training ground injury

Super Eagles Centre-back, Kenneth Omeruo has returned to full fitness in time to start Nigeria’s clash with Mali on Tuesday night.
The defender missed Super Eagles 1-0 win in the first friendly against the Black Stars of Ghana due to a training ground injury, but he made it to the bench as an unused substitute.
With the Kasimpasa defender and Calvin Bassey unavailable for the game, interim head coach, Finidi George named Benjamin Tanimu in the starting line-up.

However, Tanimu, who plays for Tanzania outfit, Ihefu SC is expected to make way for the experienced defender against the Malians on Tuesday.
Omeruo is the most capped senior international at Finidi’s disposal in Marrakech, Morocco.
Meanwhile, Brentford midfielder, Frank Onyeka and Calvin Bassey will not be available for the game.
Both players have flown back to their base in the UK, where they will continue their recovery from injuries as the business end of the season kicks in.
The rest of the Eagles squad have continued training for the next friendly and the remaining 22 players are available for selection.
Nigeria will take on Mali at the Grand Stade de Marrakech on Tuesday and interim head coach, Finidi George, is expected to shake up his starting XI.
