Oluwo of Iwo kingdom honours Dele Momodu, wife

The ancient town of Iwo, Osun State literally stood still on Saturday October 3, as the cream of Nigerian society arrived in droves to witness the installation of OVATION Chairman, Chief Dele Momodu and wife, Mobolaji, as The Aare and Yeye Aare of Iwo Kingdom.

Held on the palace grounds, the historic event that was filled with culture and colour began when The Aare and Yeye Aare arrived the venue in grand style, accompanied by a long convoy of exotic cars.

One of the major highlights of the ceremony was when the new chiefs were showered with royal prayers by HIM Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, Oluwo of Iwo Kingdom, Telu 1. They were decorated with traditional leaves, installed and presented with all the paraphernalia attached to the respected titles.

Later, there was a stately reception which was held at Dr. Niyi Oriolowo’s Royal Palace Resort where a team of experts had been assembled to host guests of the well-known media entrepreneur, fondly called Bob Dee and hi delectable wife.

During the reception, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi, Prince Damola Aderemi, Dr Reuben Abati, Prince Bisi Olatilo and others, spoke glowingly about Aare Momodu and why he merits the title.

The guests were entertained by Laolu Gbenjo, Sir Shina Peters and Lanre Teriba, while they savored meals served by Friends Catering and Bluetooth Catering. Finger food was handled by Laredo, choice drinks and wine were served by Bola Okolie’s Bonix while Dee Potters handled cocktails.

While Lanre Obey’s Lansrock did lighting and sound, Bolaji Durojaiye handled stage and screen, Kingsley James’ IDCL handled the venue branding, Tokunbo Odebunmi’s Wow Booth handled instant pictures and Seyi Orolugbagbe handled logistics.

The security aspect of the event was handled by Kunle Komolafe’s outfit, K-Square Multidimensional Limited. And while ace comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka The First was the Master of Ceremony, entertainment guru, Wale Oluwaleimu was the production co-ordinator.
The event was handled by Bimbo Oladiran of Subtle Elegance.

The event was attended prominent dignitaries like Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Senator Jide Omoworare, Senator Ademola Adeleke, AIG Tunji Alapini ( Rtd), Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi, Sat Guru Maharaji, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, Oba Folarin Ogunsanwo, Iyalaje Oodua Toyin Kolade, Femi Osibona, Gbenga Olunloyo, Foluso Adeagbo, The Orolugbagbes, Bisi Olatilo, Princess Kemi Aderemi, Kikelomo, Azuh Arinze, Saheed Osupa, Dolapo Badmus, Taibat Okesanjo, Kikelomo Atanda-Owo, among many others.

The editor of Ovation International magazine, Olorogun Mike Effiong, led a powerful team of key staffers like Koya Adegbite, Ken Ehimen, Abraham Falodun and Solomon Ekhaiyemhe, in capturing the historical event.
