O’Leary also believes City’s decision to sell Zinchenko to the Gunners could ultimately end up costing Pep Guardiola’s side the PL title

Pundit and ex-Arsenal defender, David O’Leary has suggested Manchester City made a mistake when they sold Oleksandr Zinchenko to his former club.
O’Leary made this known while speaking on talkSPORT, where he argued the Ukrainian impact has transformed Arsenal from a mid-table side to a title-challenging one.
Arsenal made some game-changing signings this summer when they secured the services of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from the league champions.
Jesus has been brilliant for the north London club when he’s been fit, but the real game-changer in Mikel Arteta’s team has been Zinchenko.
The 26-year-old has added a whole new dynamic to this Arsenal side, playing as a left-back/midfielder hybrid helping the Gunners become Premier League (PL), title contenders.

Analysing the impact of Ukraine’s captain on the Gunners, O’Leary who once coached Leeds United said he can’t believe Man City were happy to allow Zinchenko to join Arsenal this summer.
He went on to say the Citizens must have regretted sanctioning the move in the summer.
“Zinchenko has been a revelation. I can’t understand why Man City sold him,” O’Leary said.
“Is he a left back? I mean, he is quite happy to play in midfield. He can handle the ball so well. He is such a good player. What a great addition.”
“Those two City lads have taken us to another level.”
Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League with 9 games more to play and are 8 points clear of their nearest challenger, Manchester City, who have a game at hand.
But by selling Zinchenko to the Gunners, City have pretty much created a rod for their own back, and while the decision was months ago, it could ultimately end up costing Pep Guardiola’s side the Premier League title.
