Olamide’s baby mama, Maria Okan, recounts pregnancy experience 

Okan also disclosed that she got a new job at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the United Kingdom

Maria Okan, actress and baby mama to popular Nigerian singer, Olamide, has recounted how she had to come to terms with raising her child alone without a father figure.

According to her, halfway through her pregnancy with her daughter, Monife, she had to relocate to the United Kingdom (UK) having realised she would be raising her alone.  

Okan made the assertion via her Instagram page while celebrating her new job at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the UK. 

She said, “This is the story of a lady who relocated to the UK from Nigeria pregnant with her first child. Halfway through her pregnancy, she realised she would have to raise the child alone. 

“After having her daughter, she started her career from the scratch in the United Kingdom. She is now a presenter and producer of the first-ever ‘Afrobeats Roundup with Maria’ on BBC 1Xtra.”

The MTV Shuga actress’s pregnancy news broke the internet back in 2019 and it sent tongues wagging on several social media platforms.

Okan had entered into a romantic relationship with Olamide, thinking the ace musician was single and separated from his baby mama, but later realised that wasn’t the case. 

A source revealed back in 2019, “Olamide told her he was single that’s why she began a relationship. They loved each other,” 

After her discovery, the romantic affair became sour and began to fade away when Okan found out that the YBNL boss was still with his long-time partner.

According to reports, the thespian moved out of the country while still pregnant with her daughter to the United Kingdom

However, In 2020, she celebrated her daughter’s first birthday elaborately.
