Olamide commiserates with Wizkid over mum’s death

Olamide while sending his condolences to the Grammy Awards winner, assured him that he is in his prayers

Ace Afrobeats singer and record label owner, Olamide Adedeji, better known as Olamide Badoo has taken to social media to console his bereaved colleague, Ayodeji Balogun aka WizKid over the loss of his beloved mother. 

The popular music producer and talent hunter while commiserating with the Grammy Awards winner,  assured him that he is in his prayers.  

TheNiche had on Saturday, August 19, reported that Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, the mother of the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner passed away on Friday at around 1.30 am. 

Confirming the death of her death to journalists on the same day, Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are said: “Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am.”

After the news of the demise of Wizkid’s mother made the rounds online, it sent shockwaves through the music community and the entertainment industry at large, with colleagues and fans of the music star expressing their condolences and support for the singer over his loss.

Joining others who had previously shared in the singer’s grieve, Olamide on Saturday, took to his official X account, to commiserate with the musician saying: “Prayers up for Wiz.”
