Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has  accused the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi of secretly plotting to undermine his political interest because of 2023 presidential ambition.

Okorocha who spoke at Government House, Owerri on Tuesday said the duo of Oshiomhole and Amaechi are vigorously planning to alienate him from politics and halt his 2023 presidential ambition.

“The calculation is that if Uche Nwosu becomes governor and I go to Senate, I will be a strong force by 2023. The most annoying fact is that they are using our people to pursue that agenda,” Okorocha told his audience.

He described the feud in the ruling party as a “war in a different dimension.”

The governor added: “There is more to the noise you are hearing about the governorship election in Imo. It is not about Uche Nwosu, it is about a plot to stop Okorocha by all means. Otherwise why will Adams Oshiomhole and Rotimi Amaechi be interested in who governs Imo?”
