Ogun workers praise Gov Abiodun after approving ‘Xmas bonus

The Ogun workers described Gov Abiodun as a compassionate leader, who has the interest of workers at heart

Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has received accolades from the state’s Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Joint Negotiation Committee (JNC), after a recent gesture to workers in his state. 

The unions via a letter of gratitude to the governor, described him as a compassionate leader, who has the interest of workers at heart following his decision to approve Christmas bonus for the workforce in the state this year.

According to the unions, the gesture was a further demonstration of Abiodun’s commitment to the welfare of Ogun workers.

Speaking on the package, the Chairman of TUC Ogun State chapter, Comrade Akeem Lasisi, described the bonus payment as a gesture that would help workers to overcome economic challenges.

He said, “This development was not unexpected, as we are aware of the compassionate leadership His Excellency embodies.

“The Christmas bonus package further reinforces the current administration’s reputation for delivering positive changes. This gesture will help alleviate the daily economic hardships our workforce and their families face. We assure you that this unexpected display of care from His Excellency will encourage our colleagues to strive for even more outstanding achievements for our beloved state.

“We appreciate government’s efforts to maintain stability in our industrial relations.

“Please accept our heartfelt gratitude, unwavering loyalty and support for your administration.”
