The traditional ruler of Ogidi in Anambra State, Igwe Uzo Onyido, has conferred on the Nollywood star cum Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Creative Media: (Movie/Entertainment Industry), Bob-Manuel Udokwu, FCAI, the chieftaincy title of “Nze Anagba Nkili.” Nze Anagba Nkili means Chief that people rush to behold.
The honour on Sunday, May 6, 2017 at the Igwe’s palace in Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, was in recognition of his contribution to the upliftment of the society through entertainment by his Ogidi town.
Igwe Onyido said that with the new title, Udokwu’s status in the society especially in Ogidi had been elevated to the class of decision makers and opinion leaders in the town.
He also prayed God to uplift Udokwu further in the society.
Responding, the actor pledged to use his celebrity status to work for the success of the Igwe, Ogidi town, Anambra State and Nigeria.
Four other illustrious sons of Ogidi were also honoured with various chieftaincy titles at the occasion.
It will be recalled that on November 16, 2015, the Igwe of Enugwu Aguleri also in Anambra State, Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, conferred on him the chieftaincy title of “Onye Anagba Nkili ” meaning ” The one who people rush to behold “.
