Odinkalu, Jafar Jafar, others expose alleged inconsistency in Kano Judge signature stopping reinstatement of Emir Sanusi

Former chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Professor Chidi Odinkalu and a senior journalist, Jafar Jafar, have raised an alarm that the signature of Justice Mohammed Liman on the certified true copy of the ruling stopping the reinstatement of Emir Sanusi is irregular

Justice Liman, who presides over a Federal High Court in Kano issued an order stopping the reinstatement of Emir Sanusi. The ruling came hours after the Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf signed a bill into law that reinstated Sanusi as the 59th Emir of Kano.

Governor Yusuf has since protested the order of Justice Liman, saying he delivered the ruling from far away America, hence, not binding.

Days after the governor made the revelation, netizens started circulating the certified true copy of the ruling suspending the reinstatement of Sanusi on social media saying it has a different signature from the regular signature of Justice Liman.

Jafar Jafar, in a post on his Twitter handle @JaafarSJaafar said: “Compare Justice Liman’s normal signature with the one on the controversial order used to cause instability in Kano and see the difference. Did the judge change his signature or authorise someone to change it?”

Chidi Odinkalu, also posting on his Twitter handle @ChidiOdinkalu also said: “The more you look at this thing from that Court in Kano, the more the conclusion leads only to one thing: crooked!”
