Obi has rich academic records. His opponents appear to be wishing to find one false claim in those records.

Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, said he recently got a call from one of his alma maters asking him if all was well because of the barrage of requests by at least 1,000 people wanting to verify his academic claims.
Obi is an alumnus of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Lagos Business School, Harvard Business School, London School of Economics, Columbia Business School, Institute for Management Development, Cambridge University, Oxford University, etcetera.

Obi revealed that since he became a Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, the schools he graduated from have been receiving tons of requests by people who wanted to verify the claims about his academic credentials.
According to the former Anambra governor, he got a call from one of the schools which asked him if anything was wrong because over a thousand people have been making inquiries about his educational qualification.
Obi said he would make the job easy for those who wanted to verify his academic claims by adding his alumni number to his Curriculum Vitae so that the information about him could easily be accessed.
